Confession    

 I am coming to the end of lent in preparation of the celebration of Easter. It’s a time for baptism, joy, life and rebirth. After all the praying and fasting there is one more thing left for me to do, in order to go forward with a clean soul and enjoy every moment in this joyful celebration. I am going to be making my first confession ever, I always do the whole 40 days of lent but never shed myself of my sins. I remember my mom always used to tell us going to school, we don’t have to confess to anyone but God, so when we had confession time I wouldn’t go, but coming back into church and getting to understand more I know now I have to do this. I saw a video of (Archbishop Fulton Sheen) and he was talking about confession and why we should go and he said, when we suppress our guilts it is there for eternity unless it is forgiven, when it is forgiven it’s completely bolted out, well how do we now through the mercy of god and the fullness of faith in christ how are our sins forgiven?  by confession, what is confession? nudity of the souls stripping ourselves of all false excuses and charm pretenses and revealing ourselves as we really are.  I take this as a recycling of our life and a rebirth of a new life, God is good all the time. Have a great Easter.

Creating A Home Gym

I am creating a gym in my hallway where I can do my workouts, right now I’m doing it in the living room but that’s a bit daunting because I have to bring everything there and take them back. So now I have the perfect space for it. I love working out outside so when the winter comes I have no choice but to take my workout indoors, I really don’t do well in the cold so going to a gym would be a big no for me . It takes to much motivation to workout during the winter let alone going to a gym, don’t mind I want to try a cold weather run one day. Also the cost and getting there and don’t forget all the naked people in the changing room. I once had a membership in a gym and I couldn’t used the equipment I wanted because someone always hogging it, or I would find sweat all over the mats that I started to bring my own. But don’t get me wrong home gyms isn’t for everyone some of us need to get out of  the house or we simply can’t motivate ourselves to exercise regularly. These days there are so much on line Gyms, DVD or even Youtube.  You can created a little space in your own home and start exercising whenever you are ready without leaving .  So if you guys are a gym person or like to workout at home like me or whatever you do to get in that exercise enjoy God is good.

Things I Loving For Spring

I love these (City Colour Shimmer Shadows) it’s a powder-based formula available in 16 shades or you can pick what you like. They have the listing of all the ingredients for each shade on their website. Along with some cool names for them.

Again I’m loving these pop of colour from Christian Louboutin ($90.00 for a set of 3). It’s a limited edition of the set. A bit expensive but the color I’m loving, It also comes in a larger size.

For my Future Grandkids

For if you come and I hope you do, I will be patiently waiting for your arrival  and I will welcome you just as the sky is blue and the sun is bright or the stars full the sky on a warm night. And I should hold you in my arms for the first time and check every inch of your body with kisses. And I should ask for you to be with me every other weekend how else will you know me . I will teach you everything for I am your past and you are my future I will be so happy with you.

What’s Cooking Today

Yesterday was Valentine day hope you guys had a great day. We didn’t go out to eat, it was very cold and I didn’t want to leave the apt so we stay in and cook this delicious dish. IMG_3002Cou Cou it’s a renowned, favorite local dish of Barbados. This specially dish is made from local corn meal and okra which is vigorously stirred with a cou cou stick while mixed with the liquid of the okras.

Salt to tast

Bring to boil the okra and water, as it boil the water will begin to get like glue, pour into a bowl as the liquid and the okra will mix in with the meal. Leaving a little liquid in the pot add the meal and stir until you reach a creamy consistence, then add more of the liquid and meal and stir,  you’ll do this until the liquid is gone , make sure it’s creamy not lumpy because it wouldn’t tast good. served hot right out the pot, this delicious meal is usually served with steamed fish, salt fish , or red herring but I serve mine with a pink salmon sauce.

Staying Focus

Today I am on my 4th day of lent and I am doing great, being  there’s  so little I can eat at this time. But one thing that help, is me preparing my meals at the end of the week so far it’s been easy. I am also doing  the  30 Min. Full Body HIIT Workout | Day 01 – 30 Day Full Body Burnout and I’m trying to stay focus with it because it’s getting a bit hard.
